Jefason is a Grade Four student at Shade school. His mother, Madam Debora, is one of our teachers serving in the Baby Class. One day while in class, Jefason suddenly experienced a strange attack and lost his ability to see. Because of this, he was unable to continue with his studies that day.
The situation shocked both teachers and fellow students. But because Shade is built on a strong foundation of faith in God, the entire school community responded by growing even more in prayer and trust in Jesus Christ. Through Bible lessons in class and our Tuesday spiritual sessions with staff, we have continued to teach that Jesus has the power to heal.
Our Academic Teacher, Mr. Joseph, took a step of faith and carried Jefason from the classroom to our special Prayer Room, since the boy could not walk on his own. Other teachers and students waited with hope, believing they would witness the power of God at work.
I had the opportunity to enter the Prayer Room with Jefason, and together we prayed and asked God in the name of Jesus to heal him. By God’s grace, after just a short time in prayer, Jefason started to see again! He stood up, walked, and was able to return to class and continue learning as usual.
This miracle not only changed Jefason’s life, but also helped build the faith of all of our staff and students. Today, Jefason is doing well in his studies and is among the students preparing to sit for the national Grade Four exams this year.
Truly, in everything, we give glory to God.
