Matthew Blunt brings over three decades of experience in technology and organizational strategy to his role on the Shade board.. Throughout his career, he has worked as a software developer and consultant for both government and private sector organizations, often serving as a business analyst to streamline processes and increase efficiency. His leadership experience also includes serving on his church’s Vestry, giving him insight into nonprofit governance.
Matthew has served on the Shade Board for five years and continues to be inspired by the mission’s growth and impact. He values the opportunity to support an organization making a tangible difference in the lives of children with albinism and other vulnerabilities in Tanzania.
Originally from the Washington, DC area, Matthew now lives in Lancaster, PA, near his two adult daughters. He enjoys life in a quieter, rural community, where he spends time hiking, gardening, raising chickens, and cooking.
