Susan Grubbs has devoted much of her life to serving in ministry, working in a variety of church and para-church organizations. Over the years, she has used her gifts of organization and creativity in many roles—as an employee, volunteer, pastor’s wife, and lay leader in her church. Today, she brings that wealth of experience to Shade, supporting its mission in practical and meaningful ways.
For Susan, Shade is more than a ministry—it is a visible answer to prayer. She considers it a joy to see God bring to fruition the vision He gave her daughter, Claire, and counts it an honor to play a role in what He is doing in Tanzania through Shade’s staff and programs.
Susan also treasures her family life. She lives next door to her four grandchildren, a daily blessing that allows her to be actively involved in their lives as they grow. Balancing faith, family, and ministry, Susan continues to pour her heart into serving both at home and abroad.
