Sofia was connected to Shade through Board Secretary Robyn Magee, who often plays the piano at Sofia’s home church in North Carolina. Drawn to Shade’s mission of protecting children and sharing the love of Jesus with them, Sofia was eager to support the organization’s work in Tanzania.
Sofia works as an attorney, using her skills to advocate for people facing adversity, protect her community, and give a voice to victims. She is excited to bring that same commitment to a Christian organization like Shade, where her legal expertise can serve vulnerable children and advance Shade’s mission of care and protection. Sofia’s dedication to justice and her heart for ministry align perfectly with Shade’s vision.
Though she is an eastern North Carolina native, Sofia currently lives and works in Florida. When she’s not at work, she enjoys traveling with her family, exploring new restaurants, relaxing at the beach, or watching an old sitcom with a cup of tea. Sofia’s faith and commitment to service continue to shape both her professional calling and her involvement with Shade.
