Eileen is an entrepreneur and accessibility strategist who is passionate about creating opportunities for people with disabilities to thrive. She is the Founder of Blind Savvy USA, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting employment and inclusion for those with disabilities. Eileen has led national advocacy efforts for the NFB Diabetes Action Network, served as Founding Administrator for the Johns Hopkins Vision Research and Rehabilitation Center, and co-created ACE Academy Online, a fully accessible leadership and career exploration program.
Legally blind since birth, Eileen holds a BA in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA in Healthcare from the Wharton School of Business. She has been honored as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women and named International Woman of the Year by the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Eileen lives in Baltimore, MD, where she continues to mentor and advocate for inclusion while serving on multiple nonprofit boards. She first met Executive Director Claire Fedele during a tour to Israel, where she was deeply moved by Shade’s mission to empower children with albinism who are challenged with low vision.
