Mikala Williams is a nonprofit professional passionate about expanding access to education for children who need it most. Mikala holds a degree in Public and Nonprofit Administration, as well as experience in the public and private sectors. Mikala was introduced to Shade through a friend of the Director of Engagement, Kacy Lowe, and was drawn to its mission to serve children with albinism and other vulnerabilities in Tanzania.
Mikala brings a range of professional skills to Shade, including fundraising, volunteer management, and communications. She also has more than five years of ministry leadership experience, equipping her to work with diverse groups of people and to help organizations pursue the long-term vision God has given them.
Mikala and her husband, Mark, live in Norman, Oklahoma, with their young son, Conrad. Together, they enjoy leading and training at their church, reading, solving puzzles, and spending time outdoors as a family.
